I bought this book to give to my nieces on the first anniversary of their father's untimely passing. (Ages 1yr, 3yr, 10yr)
We met at the cemetery and had a lovely moment together sitting with their Daddy reading this book. We all cried, grieved, loved, and hugged. It was a wonderful tool to openly talk about these tough feelings together.
Thank you for giving us that moment by writing this book.

I bought this book for my grandson who is five, at the death of his grandfather. It does a great job of keeping Grandpa’s memory alive.
In the story, a little turtle is left believing his grandpa is with him by watching him from a cloud above.

Great Grandmother to be /
It was a perfect addition to a basket I had made for my great-grandson, who will be born this month.
My son passed away at 39 in 2008, this will be his first grandchild. I made a basket that included my son's blanket from when he was a baby, a picture of him for the baby’s room, and a few other things.

Great Aunt /
I bought this book for my 4-year-old great niece, who recently lost her Dad. It was an absolutely perfect book for her Mom and her to share now and throughout the coming months.
There is a lot of information on ways to tweak the story to be more personal or geared toward the age and level of understanding for the child. Thank you, Kim Vesey, for creating such a mindful, sweet, healing story!

This is a very good book for kids.
I think it helps the child to be able to express their self.

Wondering how to support a child whose sister or brother has died? Kim Vesey's books, "What Cloud is My Sister In?” and “What Cloud Is My Brother In?" will be a gift, not only for that child, but also for you! Kim's engaging story of turtles at a grief camp, along with the delightful illustrations by Amy Gantt will give you and a grieving child many opportunities for conversations and activities to grieve and keep alive a love that can continue to grow.
From my perspective as a retired Obstetrician and Gynecologist, it addresses the loss of a newborn beautifully. Kim's book is a needed resource for those mothers and fathers that have suffered a perinatal loss and/or death of a newborn, to care for their grieving children during this challenging time.

Very well written. Will be a wonderful tool for families and children who are grieving.
Some of the ideas and suggestions for ways to celebrate in remembrance during the holidays would be wonderful and appropriate for any grieving person, no matter their age. Gives great opportunities for conversation starters with children.

This is a lovely book. I have worked in hospice care for the past 25 years.
Because small children can’t talk about their loss issues the way adults can, books like ‘What Cloud Is My Mommy In?’ provide a great tool for helping them explore/discuss their thoughts and feelings.

This book is such a blessing to my 6-year-old, who very recently lost her grandfather. They were very close and it has been hard on everyone.
It has easy-to-understand text and beautiful illustrations. In the beginning, there are tips for the parents on using the book with their child, and at the end of the book, there are suggestions for remembering your loved one throughout the year. This book quickly became a tool for our grief.
