At camp, three young turtles meet. Each has lost a brother:

Through shared camp activities and honest conversations, the turtles form deep friendships. Along the way, they discover that remembering may bring sadness, yet it can also bring laughter and joy. Speedy learns that even though he didn’t have time to create memories with his baby brother, he can imagine what life might have been like — holding him close in his heart and mind.

As camp ends, the three friends realize they will always carry their brothers with them — in their hearts and in their memories.

About the Author

Kim Vesey is a registered nurse and certified spiritual director with 35 years of experience in hospice care. In addition to serving countless families, Kim has personally experienced profound loss, including her husband, father, and daughter, Sarah, who left behind her young son, Warren. Kim is also mother to her son, Patrick, and resides in Beavercreek, Ohio.

What Cloud Is My Brother In? is Vesey’s sixth book in her planned series of children’s grief-related books.

In 2021, Vesey was honored by the Christian Indie Awards (Children’s Books, Ages 4–8) for her first book, What Cloud Is My Mommy In?
