About

Grief is in two parts.

The first is loss.
The second is the remaking of life.

Kim Vesey | Career

Kim Vesey is a registered nurse who has dedicated her nearly 40-year career to serving in the hospice industry. In 1985, she began providing in-home care for patients who were nearing the end of their life. Kim cared for and feels privileged to have companioned over 1,500 patients through end of life transitions.

She has been at the bedside of over 150 patients at the moment of their deaths. A very sacred time, a precious time, and a true privilege—a privilege that has changed her and brought her incredible understanding and insight.

Kim served as an in-home hospice nurse for 12 years before starting a path in leadership.

In 2023, Kim retired as the Executive Director of Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton.

The following year, she embarked on her next chapter as founder of My Hope Path. Kim extends her expertise and compassion to individuals, groups, churches, schools, funeral homes, military units, OB/GYN/NICU facilities, and communities across the United States. Her mission and passion revolve around aiding and guiding those navigating grief toward a path of hope.

My Hope Path's Mission

Our mission is to provide resources to support grieving children—and the adults who love them—so grief can be navigated in a way that leaves the child with a sense of love, hope, and the ability to reminisce about fond memories. These resources provide opportunities found in everyday lived experiences to offer support, honor the deceased person, reminisce, and ease the pain of grief by dealing with it together.
