What Cloud Is My Sister In? is a compassionate, hope- and faith-centered children’s book created to help siblings navigate the loss of a sister. At camp, three young turtles meet. Each has lost a sister:

• Shelly’s young sister, Layla

As they participate in camp activities and share their stories, the turtles form meaningful friendships. Along the way, they learn that remembering may bring tears, yet it can also bring laughter and joy. Speedy discovers that even though he didn’t have time to make memories with his baby sister, he can imagine what life might have been like with her.

By the end of camp, the three friends realize that their sisters will always remain with them — in their hearts and in their minds.

About the Author

Kim Vesey is a registered nurse and certified spiritual director with 35 years of experience in hospice care. In addition to caring for many families, Kim has personally experienced profound loss, including her husband, father, and daughter, Sarah, who left behind her young son, Warren. Kim is also mother to her son, Patrick, and resides in Beavercreek, Ohio.

What Cloud Is My Sister In? is Vesey’s fifth book in her planned series of children’s grief-related books.

In 2021, Vesey was honored by the Christian Indie Awards (Children’s Books, Ages 4–8) for her first book, What Cloud Is My Mommy In?
